A lost leather jacket
If it hadn"t been for the fact that it was a present from her mother, she would have never gone back such a long distance to get the Leather Jacket back. She had called the hotel before, of course, and they confirmed that somebody had left a jacket like that in the hall, but from what they said, she was not sure if it really belonged to her. It might as well be somebody else^s jacket. So she bought a train ticket and travelled to the little town in the mountains again. When she arrived at the hotel, there was a woman at a reception. But Ginny did not know her. She had not worked there three weeks before. Perhaps she was new or she was on holiday when Ginny was staying at the hotel. Anyway, she asked the woman about the leather jacket. Then she was shown an old black jacket with a hole on the elbow. No, it was not hers. She was really disappointed. She had better not tell her mother that she had lost such an expensive present. But then the woman asked her to wait for a minute. She had just remembered that they had also found another leather jacket. She left the room, and some time later she arrived with what Ginny was looking for. Ginny was so happy to find it that she promised the woman she would recommend the hotel to anyone who would be staying in town.
