Is a fatty diet a good way to lose weight

If you are interested in various nutrition programs, you"ve probably heard of some diets based on fatty food. You are supposed to lose weight by decreasing carbohydrates consumption. There is some scientific evidence that our body transforms carbohydrates in a way that can actually lead to gaining weight. Some people go even further saying that carbohydrates are the only cause of being overweight, and eating fatty food has nothing to do with it. Well, I"m not an expert, I want to make you aware of that, but I"ve recently read a lot about this kind of diet and I must say it has its pros and cons. It"s based on an increased protein intake so it is advised to eat more meat and very little brad, rice or potatoes. In this way, your body will have no carbohydrates to burn when it needs energy. It will burn fat instead. Easy, isn"t it? However, it must be mentioned that this kind of diet is not for everyone. It can cause gastric problems (due to low fibre intake) and some kidney diseases. Individuals who have problems with high cholesterol levels might experience some difficulties as well because the diet is mainly based on animal fat. Well, is it a good way to lose weight, then? It certainly is, as there is so much evidence confirming its efficiency, but you should simply think if it is the right diet for you.
